The global record for the longest solar light line installation is set by Ayodhya.

The global record for the longest solar light line installation is set by Ayodhya.

Ayodhya will also be added to the Guinness Book of World Records for this extraordinary achievement. The previous record was set during Deepotsav with the lighting of the greatest number of earthen lamps.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, envisions transforming Ayodhya into a beacon of sustainability with an ambitious project set to illuminate the city's streets in an eco-friendly manner. Ayodhya, already revered for its cultural and historical significance, is poised to embrace a green revolution under Yogi Adityanath's leadership. In a pioneering move, the Chief Minister is spearheading the establishment of the world's largest "solar-powered street lights line." This groundbreaking initiative entails the installation of an impressive array of 470 solar street lights, spanning a 10.2 km stretch between Guptar Ghat and Nirmali Kund.

This visionary project not only symbolizes a commitment to environmental consciousness but also positions Ayodhya as a trailblazer in sustainable urban development. By choosing solar energy to illuminate the city's streets, Yogi Adityanath aims to showcase Ayodhya as a role model for clean and renewable energy adoption. The installation of solar street lights not only reduces the city's carbon footprint but also underscores the state's dedication to harnessing modern technology for the greater good.

As the "solar powered street lights line" takes shape, it represents a convergence of tradition and innovation in Ayodhya. The ancient city, steeped in history, is embracing the future with sustainable energy solutions. Yogi Adityanath's commitment to making Ayodhya a solar city not only addresses the practical need for efficient street lighting but also sets a precedent for other regions to follow. It is a testament to Uttar Pradesh's proactive approach towards sustainable urban development, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change.

In essence, the installation of 470 solar street lights is more than just an infrastructural upgrade; it's a symbolic gesture toward a brighter, cleaner future for Ayodhya. This project reflects Yogi Adityanath's forward-thinking leadership and determination to integrate modern technology into the city's fabric while preserving its cultural heritage. As the world looks towards renewable energy solutions, Ayodhya, under the guidance of its Chief Minister, is poised to shine not just in history but also under the sustainable glow of solar-powered innovation.

Ayodhya will also be added to the Guinness Book of World Records for this extraordinary achievement. The previous record was set during Deepotsav with the lighting of the greatest number of earthen lamps.

Under the leadership of CM Yogi, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has already finished around 70 percent of the installation work, while the remaining 160 solar street lights will be placed before January 22.

A 10.2 kilometer length has 470 solar street lights.

According to Praveen Nath Pandey, the project officer of UPNEDA (Ayodhya), by January 22, Ayodhya will set a world record by installing 470 solar street lights over a 10.2 km stretch from Lakshman Ghat to Guptar Ghat, with the remaining 30 percent scheduled for completion shortly.

He said that as part of the project, 310 solar lights have been placed between Lakshman Ghat and Guptar Ghat, and 160 solar-powered street lights are currently being installed in the 1.85 km stretch between Guptar Ghat and Nirmali Kund. These solar-powered street lights all have smart technology, run at 4.4 watts, and are LED-based. The 10.2 kilometer length from Lakshman Ghat to Nirmali Kund will be radiantly lit thanks to their installation.

The world record that the state government aims to break through a solar energy-powered project is currently registered in the name of Malham, Saudi Arabia, where 468 solar-powered lights were installed throughout 9.7 km in 2021. Now, the Yogi government is gearing up to surpass this record in Ayodhya by installing 470 solar-powered lights in an area spanning 10.2 km.

Prior to that, on Diwali in 2023, 25,000 volunteers from Avadh University ignited 22.23 lakh lamps together at the Sarayu ghats, earning Ayodhya a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. When Lord Ram's statue is installed in Ayodhya's majestic Ram Janmabhoomi temple on January 22, the city will create a new record by running the longest string of solar-powered street lights in the Guinness Book of World Records. Talks on this are still going on between the Guinness Book of World Records representatives, UPNEDA authorities, and local government officials
