7.Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh

In the earlier days, Bandhavgarh was used by the maharajas for hunting. Today, the area has been turned into the highly protected Bandhavgarh National Park. It boasts of the maximum density of tigers and is a vast breeding ground for panthers as wellourists also visit the famous Bandhavgarh Fort, Badi Gufa, Bagheli Museum, and the three cave points. Birds like a sapphire flycatcher, yellow-crowned woodpecker, purple sunbird, little cormorant and many more make it a good destination for bird watching as well.

8. Manas National Park, Assam

Manas National Park, located in mesmerizing Assam, is the only place with the Project Tiger Reserve and Project Elephant Reserve at the same place. The pygmy hog, which is not seen anywhere else in the world but here, is the main attraction of this national park. It is also a habitat for endangered species like the tiger, the great one-horned rhino, swamp deer, and Bengal florican. Manas is credited for having sizeable populations of these endangered species. 9. Sariska National Park, Rajasthan

Stretching over an area of 881 kms, the Sariska National Park used to be a hunting reserve until it was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1955. Located in the Alwar district, this national park comprises scrub-thorn arid forests, dry deciduous, rocky hills, and grasslands. The dense forests here make it a good habitat for the tiger. However, there was a point when there were absolutely no tigers living in this national park. It happens to be the first national park in the world that has been adopted by the majestic royal Bengal tigers as its natural habitat successfully. Other wildlife species to be found here include the Golden jackal, jungle cat, striped hyena, and leopards.

Best time to visit Sariska National Park: October, November, December, January and February. Since this is the peak season expect a little crowd during this time. 

 10.Gir National Park, Gujarat

Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes. Gir Jungle Trail, outside the fenced area, traverses deciduous forest and is home to wildlife including vultures and pythons. The Kamleshwar Dam has marsh crocodiles and birds, such as Indian skimmers and pelicans.

December to March is climatically the best season to visit the park. Though, April and May are very hot but considered as the best months for wildlife viewing and photography.
